The 11th annual Red Bull Rampage mountain bike freeride event returned to its roots with all-natural features (no wood) and sicker, smoother, steeper lines. Here are some of the best videos to come out of it.
Six Canadians placed in the top 15 at Red Bull Rampage in Virgin, Utah on October 14th and Whistler-native Brandon Semenuk came in first with one of the sickest lines we’ve ever seen – check his run below. There were some crashes throughout the day but only Graham Agassiz of Kamloops was seriously hurt. He was stretchered off but was waving to the crowd before he left. (We’re sending you healing vibes Aggy!) Other Canadians to make the top 15 include: Kurt Sorge, Tom van Steenbergen, Daren Berrcloth, James Doerfling, and Kyle Norraten.
Antoine Bizet of France came in second at the event with this run:
And Carson Storch of Bend, Oregon, came in third with this run:
Nelson, BC’s very own Kurt Sorge also slayed it at Red Bull Rampage this year. He placed 4th and was the 2nd Canadian in the Top 5 but, really, none of that matters after you watch his huge huck at the end of this:
