It is perhaps the gnarliest singular event in all of action sports. Some cliffs, rocks, a bunch of dirt, and 25 of the most unafraid cyclists in the entire world. We had a bunch of Kootenay riders in the mix this year, down in Virgin, Utah for the Red Bull Rampage. Mike Hopkins, Kurt Sorge, Evan Schwartz, Mike Kinrade and Garret Beuller all went to bat against the world’s best. There were broken bones, and busted bikes, and while no Kootenay boys crested the podium, we should all be proud they even had a shot.
