This past weekend, Coast Mountain Culture sponsored the Arc’teryx/Whistler Blackcomb Deep Winter Photo Competition. Photo editor Peter Moynes was selected as one of the judges for the competition and joined an esteemed panel to select the winners. Abnormally warm and sunny weather plagues the competition, which usually features Whistler’s infamous deep, dark, stormy–and most importantly–snowy weather.
In the end, Zoya Lynch came from Revelstoke to take home the $5000 first price. PNW locals Nic Teichrob and Jason Hummel rounded out the podium.
There’s still a chance to get involved. Got to the Whistler Blackcomb site to vote for People’s Choice.
Below, a happy Zoya Lynch takes home the trophy and earns the Queen of Storms title.
