Fans of surf photographer/cinematographer Mickey Smith’s epic Dark Side of the Lens will fall in love the Irishman’s dramatic lilt once again. Coming Up For Air is a new film from the talented and creative genius. It features the same dark, brooding camera work and the eloquent words of its predecessor. Much the same as Canada’s cold waters, Irish and UK surfers brave deep dark temperatures and heavy, messy swell, all in the name of eeking out an existence in the global surf community. This is lovely, lovely stuff.
