Summer Hiking on Mount Carlyle’s “Sourdough Traverse” all you need for this 3 day 3 nights hiking/ ”glamping” trip is your day pack. We have 2 campsites supplied with all the gear you need for a relaxed night in the alpine.
The Trip:
The traverse is just less than 20 km with additional options of side trips each day. You start the scenic hike at 2100 m (7000 ft) where you experience grassy ridge walks with wild flower meadows and spectacular views of 5 mountain ranges and 2 Glaciers.
The Sourdough Traverse ends at Mount Carlyle lodge. Sleep in a comfortable bed and enjoy all the amenities including our newly renovated kitchen, wood fired shower and sauna.
Guided and Catered or non guided and self catered options are available.
The Sourdough Traverse is suited for an intermediate hiker accommodating up to groups of 8 people at a time. The first trip is Aug 2nd 2014, and it’s already full!!
