SilverStar Bike Park rules. No ifs ands or buts. As the preferred bike park for Kootenay and westward-based riders, this year’s Opening Day weekend was nothing short of magical. Packs of Revelstoke, Nelson and Calgary riders could be seen tearing up beautifully buffed rides like Rock Star, Super Star, World Cup and the daringly airborne, Pipe Dream. Rock Star alone has 83 berms and over 50 jumps, all sculpted to perfection by a very dedicated and passionate trail crew. With 1,600 feet of vertical, a swift and comfortable six-pack high speed quad, wicked dirt, and tons of different trails for all types of rider, it is, unequivocally, the best bike park in interior BC, and one of the top destinations in all of Canada. Go HERE to check out more info, and keep an eye out for a KMC article next summer. More importantly, get yourself to Vernon for a mountain bike experience you won’t soon forget. Yes, your hands will ache, and your body will be blown, but your mind will never be the same.
