Eighty five chutes and counting…
It seems like an improbable stat, but that’s the latest tally for skiers and ‘boarders keeping count of the ballooning number of advanced and expert lines at Golden’s Kicking Horse resort as of this holiday season.
Just in time for Santa and the rest of his slayers, the resort opened its highly anticipated Super Bowl terrain—its fourth alpine bowl, and 15 new chutes—last week.
The bowl, situated south of the Golden Eagle Express Gondola, is made up of north, south and east facing slopes.
It’s accessed from the gondola via a new ski traverse trail and adds over 300 metres of new vertical.
