Kootenay Mountain Culture Magazine is proud to be a sponsor of the Wapiti Music Festival, scheduled to go off this weekend, Aug 11-12 in Fernie, British Columbia.
It seems wildfires are smoking up the air space from Williams Lake to Nelson these days but one area where you won’t find any wildfire activity is Fernie. But it will be burning up this weekend with good tunes and a ton of fun at this weekend’s Wapiti Music Festival.
Entering its seventh year, the Wapiti Festival offers a diverse range of music, from Indi faves Tokyo Police Club to high-energy groovers Five Alarm Funk.
Other musicians who are on the schedule for this year’s two-day festival include:
- Belle Game
- Royal Canoe
- Dawson Rutledge
- The Dead South
- Twin Peaks
- Velle
Also on the playbill is Scenic Route to Alaska who we last saw earlier this year at the Tiny Lights festival and we have to say they are awesome!
Tickets are still available and and a weekend pass going for $77.00. Check out wapitimusicfestival.com for more info and to buy a ticket. The Festival runs Friday 6 to 11 PM and Saturday noon to 11 PM.
