Kootenay Mountain Culture Magazine has announced its latest issue’s launch party and the ultimate summer festival giveaway will be June 7, 2023.
Join Kootenay Mountain Culture Magazine for our official Summer 2023 magazine launch party at Broken Hill in Nelson on June 7 starting at 7:30 pm.
Attendees will receive copies of the magazine, be entertained by the comic stylings of our editor-in-chief Mitchell Scott, and will have the chance to enter the raffle to win the Ultimate Summer Festivallin’ Package worth thousands of dollars. It includes:
- 2 tickets to the sold-out 2023 Shambhala Music Festival
- Napier Truck Tent
- Lynx OGT 1800-Lumen Headlamp
- Helinox Incline Chair
- Earthwell Kewler
- Slackline Industry Kit
- Glass Reggae Bong
- + so much more

Raffle tickets will cost $10 cash and all proceeds will go toward the construction of Nelson’s new Cube Climbing Gym. The gym will cost about $5 million to build and completion is slated for 2025. It will be a huge improvement over the current location and will include:
- 6,500 square feet as opposed to current 1,200
- safe spectator area
- kids adventure zone with child care
- expanded programming for youth and adults
- Olympic standard 50-foot (15 metre) rope walls and bouldering
- capacity to host competitions

As always, the new issue of Kootenay Mountain Culture Magazine will be free.
